A Wadebridge woman has organized a day of musical entertainment in Molesworth Street and the Molesworth Arms during ME Awareness Week.

Music for M.E day Wadebridge
Fiona Clark is aiming to help raise awareness and funds for ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalopathy or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), which affects over 250,000 people in the UK, but proportionately more in Cornwall with over 2,000 sufferers in the county.
Wadebridge 'music for M.E' day entertainment:
1. The Shipwrecks at 11 am
2. Spot the Dog Bluegrass at 12.15pm
3. Wadebridge Voiceworks Community Choir at 1.30pm
4. Buskaid at 2pm onwards, with maybe the odd surprise thrown in!
There will be a collection for Action for ME and ME Self Help Cornwall (MESH). Look out for them on Molesworth Street if dry, or in The Molesworth Arms if wet, along with an information stand run by MESH.
A Tymes Trust stall will be outside the Co-op with information about help for children and young people with the condition, and delicious homemade cakes for sale.
In the evening the event will move into the Molesworth Arms starting at 8pm, where the popular local duo ‘The Fandangoes’ will become a four piece band for one night only! All welcome.
Funds raised will go towards support for sufferers, and towards research into potential cures for this seriously debilitating, and much misunderstood, illness. This is largely a hidden condition – if you see someone you know to have ME out and about, you can be pretty sure they are having a ‘good day’, a situation that can be a rarity.
All of the funds raised for Action for ME will be match funded by an anonymous family trust fund, making donations worth twice as much. If you can’t be there on the day, you can donate through www.justgiving.com/fiona-clark3/
