As a result of feedback from tweeters on the twittersphere that follow @wadebridgepeeps I’ve compiled a list of the 5 top restaurants where people like to eat in Wadebridge.

A man once said ‘All happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast’ and that’s exactly where I’m starting, as the popular choice for a hearty breakfast was The Granary. The Granary Restaurant is a well-established restaurant catering for the locals and tourists alike. They provide a comfortable atmosphere with friendly service. Local produce is used on their menu creating dishes that are fresh and seasonal. Whether it’s a full English breakfast or a coffee and teacake in the morning or in the evening the menu offers family favourites as well as daily specials to suit all tastes.

A popular Cantonese and Chinese Take Away and Restaurant in Wadebridge is the Dancing Taipan. They pride themselves in serving local produce with an Oriental Twist. The air-conditioned restaurant seats around 40 people. The menu contains a variety of traditional Cantonese dishes as well as a selection of well-known Chinese ones. The restaurant is suited for all and families are welcome. If you feel like dining in the comfort of your own home they also offer a large menu of Cantonese and Chinese dishes available for you to Take-Away.

Due to the expanse of glass I often see that The Glasshouse is a popular choice for lunch and dinner. The Glasshouse is a relaxed dining experience with home-cooked food. You can also dine alfresco on the attractive covered patio and watch the world go by. It’s a great place for tea and cake or a lunchtime treat. Early evening there is a selection of Tapas. The evening menu includes Italian cuisine and tempting traditional English dishes including fresh local seafood.

The Raj is the Indian jewel in Wadebridge’s crown, (sorry I couldn’t resist). The Raj is a contemporary restaurant offering a superb range of freshly cooked Indian cuisine. I’ve eaten here many times and have always been impressed with the variety and depth of flavour you get with the wonderful food.

A relatively new addition to the Wadebridge restaurant scene is the Bridge Bistro. The restaurant has been beautifully designed and offers an intimate dining experience. The menu is exciting and offers dishes made from locally sourced produce. At really reasonable prices too. The Bridge Bistro is proving to be a popular choice for locals and visitors alike.

Is there a restaurant I’ve missed out here that you think should be in this list? Let Wadebridge People know where your favourite is. Why not review it in the directory giving it a star rating from 1 to 5…
