Snow in Wadebridge

I awoke this morning to snowfall
-
When Snow Comes To Wadebridge
and about half an inch of snow on the ground, accompanied by flashes of
lightening and loud thunder. Yet despite living in one of the many neighbouring
villages in close proximity to Wadebridge it appeared we saw the worst of it,
with the town hardly receiving any snowfall at all.
The Met Office has this morning issued warnings of heavy snow for southwest
Scotland, Lothian and Borders, northeast England, and Yorkshire and Humber.
Weather forecasters
predict the cold spell will last for almost a fortnight, with temperatures expected
to drop to -5C in some areas over the next few days.
This temperature is
far lower than those normally experienced in November, possibly since the
1980’s.
More exposed, rural
areas are unlikely to see temperatures rise much above 2C-5C by day.
So what happens when
you wake up one weekday morning and it’s a white winter wonderland outside your
window?
Are the schools open?
What are the roads like?
