Every time I visit my parents at whiterock close there are cars parked on the junction, I always thought it was illegal to park less than 50 yards near a junction but these people never get a parking ticket, anyone know why?

It's also illegal to park an unconnected trailer on the road, and to put your own traffic cones on the road to save your parking space, but I've seen both of these things, as well as parking on the junction, regularly done on Whiterock. Maybe the Whiterock residents association have organised an agreement with the police for special exemption given the lack of off road parking the properties have?
