    Wadebridge Police appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at 7.45pm on Friday 16th December 2011 on the A39 at Whitecross, Wadebridge. A pedestrian was struck by a car driven by a 52year old male  from Bodmin. The pedestrian, a 44year old local male died at the scene. Police are appealing for witnesses to make  contact with police quoting log 676/161211.

    Officers are investigating a number of reports of distraction burglaries received in Mid and West Cornwall from Friday 25 November 2011.         The reports received are of males calling purporting to be from the water board claiming to be tracing water leaks or claiming to be tracing a gas leak.
