The National Energy Foundation is looking for three communities in the UK to host an electric car share scheme, and Wadebridge is in the running.

E-Car is a competitively priced, wholly electric, pay-per-use car club, designed to offer members of a community the convenience and flexibility of a full-sized private car without the high cost of owning one. And they guarantee a single journey range of up to 80 miles. The scheme is explained in detail on their website at: http://www.nef.org.uk/e-carclub/

WREN has registered its interest, but whether they will be one of the 6-8 groups to go through to the interview stage will be based on the level of interest. So, if you like the sound of the scheme, please complete the short online survey form at http://www.nef.org.uk/e-carclub/survey.php

Please also share this link with others in Wadebridge and encourage as many as possible to give their view – they don't have to be members of WREN – because the more interest shown the more likely Wadebridge are to be chosen for the trial.

The deadline for completing the survey is the end of the month, so please register your interest soon.
