The Cornwall Schools' Olympic Flame will be paraded through the streets of Wadebridge next Wednesday. Everyone's invited to join in as it passes through the town
Next Wednesday the Cornwall Schools' Olympic Flame will be carried through the town's streets by schoolchildren from the area as it makes its way from school to school by human chain.
The special event will culminate with the town's head teachers ceremonially handing the torch over to the mayor, Steve Knightley, on the steps of the town hall.
Organisers said the flame had already visited 102 schools in Cornwall and hoped there would be an enthusiastic turnout from members of the public for the Wadebridge leg.
Businesses, parents from the schools and other members of the community are all invited to get involved as the torch passes through the town.
The idea behind the Cornwall Schools' Olympic Flame is to get every school in the county to embrace the games and ensure it leaves a legacy for all to see in years to come.
