Wadebridge Folk Festival, the 39th annual event will run from Friday to Monday, August 26 to 29.

The popular event was saved by Hobgoblin Music in 2007 after a lack of funding forced the original organisers to cancel just weeks before the event.

For the past four years Hobgoblin has provided financial support to keep the popular August Bank Holiday music event alive.

Last year it made the event even bigger by introducing a daily children's festival and more street entertainment, something that will continue this year.

Festival organiser Mike Walford said: "It's a family event which draws musicians, visitors and folk fans alike from all over the UK to experience our unique Cornish musical heritage and dance culture in various indoor venues around the town.

"There are indoor concerts, ceilidhs, free sessions, workshops, storytelling, a children's festival, a craft fayre, street entertainment and the festival campsite at Little Bodieve nearby."

This year's headline acts include Martin Simpson, 23 times nominated for the Radio 2 Folk Awards and a winner on nine occasions.

Other acts on the bill will include Grammy nominee Jerry Harmon, Amadou Diagne, Colum Sands, Rory McCleod, Mordekkers, Wizz Jones, Pete Berryman's PB3, Barron Brady, Stompin' Dave Allen, Rum and Shrub, Shipwrecks, Inu, Boldwood, Pidau Planed, Corncrow, Leski, Swamp Dogs, Trigg Morris, Plymouth Morris and many more.

Tickets are on sale now from the Hobgoblin shop in Wadebridge, via the festival website at www.wadebridgefolk.co.uk or by calling 01208 814638.
